Hi
We leave 2019 behind in such a condition that morale is fading away,
fire of hatred is increasing against wrong behavior of some
politicians. War and sanction, agony and grief, unemployment and drug
addiction, disregard toward tangible and intangible heritage of
nations and so many other issues of which you are aware, and we know
they could be witnessed all over the world. I think that human being
has lost his way and fallen away of the main path and goal of divine
beliefs, i.e. tranquility. Nevertheless, I should say that there is no
solution but one, and that is turning into social dignity and seeking
a common heritage of human being, i.e. peace. We, as Muslim,
Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Zoroastrian and from other schools, have
to deem ethics our priority and proceed way of honesty and innocence.
However, is seems so hard, it can be expected to approach sublimity.
In 2020, we promise to respect each other, either as states or
nations, in our relations and to honor each other’s rights. We have to
value all faiths, we have to put out fire of wars, we have to dry
roots of futile prejudices, we have to think of just one idea, i.e.
exalting international community. As the Iranian well-known sage said
centuries ago:
All human beings are members of one frame,
Since all, at first, from the same essence come.
When time afflicts a limb with pain
The other limbs at rest cannot remain.
If thou feel not for other’s misery
A human being is no name for thee
Yea, let’s watch the world as our own home and never let agony and
hatred grow in it. In advance, I congratulate commemoration of Jesus
Christ (PBUH)’s birth, the prophet of peace and affection as well as
New Year of 2020 to all my Christian fellow citizens and the entire
Christian world community, and I sincerely welcome all those who are
interested in resisting for expansion of peace and protecting cultural
heritage of nations, and I wish this New Year could be the year of
sustainable tourism development, year of protecting intellectual
heritage of countries and year of benefitting from rich capacities and
resources of local communities to introduce traditional arts and
handicrafts of ancient nations throughout the world.
